Stop interfering with yourself
You are your own proof of your born perfection
I’m sorry, I have some bad news: the single biggest, most influential disruptor of your Anxieties>Soothing dance is You.
Baby-You managed it fine. You know that as a fact: because you’re here, alive, reading this. Not dead or in a mental hospital. I believe in you. But you don’t need to believe.
That you were born with a perfect Anxieties>Soothing dance gifted to you by nature, is a fact. That you are here today, is a fact. Every day of your life, from its first moment to this moment, is the proof that the Anxieties>Soothing dance you were born with: works.
You are your own proof of your born perfection.
When you think about it, nature had to gift us such a perfect, simple Anxieties>Soothing dance, otherwise we’d never have made it out of the maternity ward. We all know why. We go on from there, after 7YO to do most of the things each of us can possibly do, to interfere with the dance.
How many times have people said, and how many times have you felt: “my gut said one thing and my head said the other: I went with my head. Ouch.”
That’s your Anxiety talking. Listen to it.
Your Anxiety is not the gestapo, imprisoning you in a dungeon, with Boss uniforms. You are not the hostage of your Anxiety. You become the prisoner of situations, of conflicts, which your Anxiety keeps trying to tell you the answer to.
Compared to you, your Anxiety is a genius. Nature created this perfect motor of your baby life, and your whole life.
We’ve been talking about Anxiety as though it were somewhere in your head. It is. And it’s everywhere else in your body as well. Anxiety communicates with every cell in your body. I don’t mean this poetically. I mean this as a neuro-biological fact.
You can well see how baby-You Anxiety is connected to your little eyes, ears, mouth, nose, fingers. It’s connected to every little inch of your skin. It’s connected to your tummy, and your nappy parts, to your spine and your cold (or over hot) toes.
Anxiety is communications central for baby-You. Sending out its directions for baby-You to act. To act so that you can survive. And Grow. Is there any force more powerful than that? Is there any influence that can ignore directions from Anxiety?
Yes. You.
So, now I have some good news: the single biggest, most influential mover in your Anxieties>Soothing dance is You.
